Crockett James Srp was born on March 3, 2011 @ 3:32pm.
We arrived at North Central Baptist Hospital at 5:00am to be induced. (41 weeks pregnant) They began the pitocin "pit drip" at 7:00am. My doctor came in around 8:30 to break my water... although it was very anticlimactic, it did the trick and I was in full on labor quickly!
In between contractions I was able to smile for a picture with my dad. He was born on March 3, 1951 and was celebrating his 60th birthday at the hospital waiting for his 2nd grandson to be born.
Thanks to a fabulous epidural, I progressed quickly and painlessly through labor. I began pushing at 2:30 and Crockett was born at 3:32.
We were surprised at the fact that he had dark hair and that he weighed 8 lb. 7 oz. (The doctor had told us 2 days before that he was measuring around 6 lb. 14 oz.)
This is the first picture that Michael took with his phone to text to all of our family anxiously waiting in the waiting room.
Smiling with my family... My dad "Bogey", my mom "Mama C" and my sister "Aunt Emma"... wishing that Uncle Bo, Aunt Brooke and Cousin Cal could have been there. (We talked on Face Time a little later.)
