Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend with our families in Horseshoe Bay and Spicewood at the lake! It was so much fun!

Hailey is 6 months older than Crockett and it shows in the little things!

 Swimming in the hot tub at Mimi & Grandpa's lake house in Horseshoe Bay!

Crockett LOVES LOVES LOVES the water!!

After a day at Mimi & Grandpa's we drove to Spicewood to Mama C & Bogey's lakehouse! Can you say spoiled?!!?!

Guess who was in town?!?
The one and only... Uncle Joe III and Aunt Emma!

Swimming with Aunt Emma & Sadie Bray!

Flashback to summer 2011...

Summer 2012... Look how much I have grown!!

When the boys got home from golf, we cleaned up and packed up to head home for a Sunday Mexican dinner with friends!

Mama C cuddling with Mister while we packed the car... it is AMAZING how much you take with you for just 1 night when you have a little one!

Mama C & Bogey with their 2nd grandson... did you know they have 3, yes 3 grandDAUGHTERS coming in a few months??!?! SO exciting!

On Monday, we headed out for a little family adventure.

 Daddy took us to the Cibolo Nature Trail! How did I not know that this gem existed in Boerne until now?!?!?

Crockett's new favorite thing to point out... teeth!
{Maybe because he is currently cutting 6!}

Our little hike was the perfect way to spend Memorial Day!

This little boy LOVES to be outside!

So... not as many cousin pictures as I would have liked... but enough to document a fun filled weekend! Thankful for family time and an extra day with daddy home!!

May Update

Crockett {we} had a rough first few weeks of May.
Mommy burned {check}
Baby with 102+ fever {check}
Mommy & baby stomach bug {check}
Baby ear infection {check}
Baby cutting 6 teeth {check}

But all of that didn't stop us from having a little fun!!

Look how tall my little love bug is getting?!?!

Practicing coloring... a kid after my own heart!

 Three fabulous families in our community are pursuing international adoption. We ran {walked} in the OneLess 5K to support our friends.

The Matt Srp family
{baby #3 due in Dec!!!!}

The Mike Srp family
{Still recovering from the stomach bug}

Laura's mom, Matt, and Mike Yost all won metals in the race for their age group! Mike technically won the whole thing... he ran the 10K and lapped us as we walked the 3K. Ha!

Mimi celebrated her 60th birthday on May 10, 2012!
Poor thing was really sick so we postponed our celebration until Mother's Day afternoon.

Crockett LOVES his Mimi!!
And not just because she shared her cake with him!

So, Mimi is the one who taught Crockett to "shake his booty!" I will post a video of this if I can figure out how... it is his signature move! The birthday card that we gave Mimi played the shake your booty song when you opened it! Needless to say, Crockett LOVED it and danced every time he heard the music.

Crockett walked around the house with the beloved card.

Crockett and his Grandpa!

Mimi & Grandpa's house is so much fun! They let the kids sit on the pool table and play with the balls. Crockett is still learning to roll and not throw...

This was Crockett and my 2nd Mother's Day!

He has stolen my heart.

Can you believe I get the privilege of playing with this cutie all day everyday?!?!
Me either.

We are off to the lake to celebrate Memorial Day with our families. This can only mean more pictures and a blog post next week!!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Crockett is all better and HYPER! We think he finally feels good and is loving life... we are loving the constant smiles, giggles and goofiness!

Water Table

I love gifts. Any kind and for any reason! So when my mom offered to gift Crockett with a water table just because, I was super thrilled!

What could be more fun than a toddler sized table filled with water?!?

Apparently a $1 plastic bucket and shovel are up there on the list.

Oh, and a green plastic cup is also awesome.
{Blows my mind that we did not teach him to do this... he learned from watching us!}

Blowing bubbles or kisses... who cares when your face is this cute!?!?

Peace out.

Thanks Mama C for this perfect toy for the hot weather to come!! We LOVE it!!!!

April Showers

Since I am behind again... how about an "April shower" of pictures?!?! Ok, great!

All dressed up for a wedding!

Cullen & Crockett

Someone didn't want to have his picture taken. But look how handsome he is!

We have a new Thursday play group! Sanders and Field are quickly becoming two of Crockett's best buddies!

Crockett has learned how to slide and he LOVES it! On his bottom or tummy... just as long as he gets to do it again when the slide ends!

We spend many mornings and afternoons outside. Crockett LOVES to be outside!!

Hot & sweaty from a fun park play date!

More on this AWESOME water table in another post... but for now look how much Mister LOVES it!

Crockett and I loaded up and headed to Austin for a long weekend to celebrate and shower my sister and baby Martin. (Due in July!) We visited Aunt Bebe and Papa while we were in town. It is always a treat to see them!

My Papa celebrated his 92nd birthday this month!!

Miss Sadie Bray Martin will be here this summer! Crockett is SO excited to finally have a girl cousin on his mommy's side of the family!!
{Diaper cake made by my amazing sister in law Brooke!}

Lucy Bell, Crockett & Hudson... such a sweet group of babies!

With my beautiful sister... the guest of honor!

We took Crockett swimming while we were in Austin. The kid LOVES the water!

Apparently I LOVE the water too... wow.

While I substituted at Geneva, Crockett got spoiled by a whole day with daddy!!

He even got to go to daddy's office!

 Crockett's 1st trip to the San Antonio Zoo!
Unless the animals were moving, I'm pretty sure he thought they were rocks.

My sweet friends Jamie and Brittney with their adorable girls!

Crockett, Ella, & Reese

Cheese!

Someone is ready for a nap!

Lastly... a little of why I have been slow to blogging.

That my friends is an arm covered in blisters from a cooking oil burn. In case you didn't know... adding WET fish to a hot oiled pan results in a major reaction! Thankfully I am recovering and it looks as though I will only have a handful of visible scars. I also have a large blister on my thigh.

Thankfully, Crockett was no where near the stove and I was the only one injured. This accident HURT and I was miserable for about a week but I am much better now! Michael has been really helpful and sweet... I told him the best medicine was sympathy and he did a GREAT job of giving it!

Ok... I already have a folder on the desk top full of May pictures... will blog again soon! {Promise!}
